If you have a smart device, you really need to read this.
(Feel free to share this with whoever, you think would benefit from it)
I have just been watching This Morning, re the dangers of smart devices. They have suggested, that we switch our device/s off at the wall, or your device can record what you are saying, they had a video of a child in her room on her own with the TV on standby, a man hacked through, and was talking to the little girl, and telling her that he was her new best friend, the rest you can imagine, I don’t mean to scare you, but this is scary, while he was talking to her, she was being watched by him, this happened because, the guy, had used the default password, that the device came with, and so could easily hack into her room, via her TV.
Make sure you change the default password on your devices, and change it on a regular basis.
The companies that sell these products, can listen in to what you are saying, and pass this information onto different companies, without your consent, if you leave your smart device on all the time, the way to stop this is to switch it off at the wall.
The ring door bell, is a great security door bell, to have, to keep an eye on your property.
Make sure, you download their software updates on a regular basis, to keep them secure.
Smart TVs
They have cameras, make sure your device is updated with the software, it could have issues. Cover up the camera, to make it safer.
Baby monitors
Don’t have it switched on, unless you need to.
Your router

Aleska and similar
They are listening to you all the time, but only wake up, when you mention their name, when not in use, unplug it from the wall. Some of the recordings are listened to by Amazon etc, and transcribed.
You can switch this off, via the settings. You can delete all that they have.
Smart Toys
Do your children have smart toys? Be sure, to turn them off, and change the password on them on a regular basis.
To watch this piece, it was on ITV 1 at around 12.15 today. (10th March 2020, it starts at 10am, so is near the end of the recording, but worth waiting for.) Be vigilant, and stay safe.
Here is the link again, stay safe, be happy.
I hope this helps. Feel free to share this, with as many people as possible.
